Tom Thoman PT, DPT, OCS
Tom received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, Boston in 2004. He expanded his expertise in physical therapy and received his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification in 2015. He is co-owner of Foothills Physical Therapy with business partners Jim Stevenson and Hayes Sweeney.
Tom is rarely seen without sidekicks Bailey and Zoe, official mascots of Foothills Physical Therapy.
Jim Stevenson PT, FAAOMPT
Jim graduated from Northeastern University in 1993 with a BS in Physical Therapy. He has worked in outpatient orthopedics for the majority of his career. He is co-owner of Foothills Physical Therapy in Cornish, Maine. He has always been interested in manual therapy and received a Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Therapy in 1999 from the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy in Woburn, Massachusetts.
Jim continues to strive for the best outcomes for his patients through a hands on approach and exercise. He is a believer of evidence based PT examination and treatment and is an avid professional journal reader which helps him stay abreast of the current best practices for his patients.
When not in the clinic Jim enjoys spending time in the mountains backcountry skiing, mountain biking and hiking with his two children and icelandic sheepdog.
Hayes Sweeney, PT,MPT
Hayes Sweeney received his Master's of Science in Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine, Florida in 1999. In December of 2000, Hayes began working at Massabesic Health Resources following his employment at an Out-Patient Sports & Orthopedic Center. His special interests are in the fields of Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Settings as well as Fitness and Wellness throughout the life span.
Hayes has continued to devote himself to advancing his manual skills and continuing his professional growth during his time with Massabesic Health Resources as a Physical Therapist and Owner.
Kristen Pease, PT, DPT
Kristen received her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Springfield College in 2009 and went on to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Simmons College in 2010. Before joining Foothills Physical Therapy, Kristen was inspired by a clinical rotation at the UNC Children’s Hospital, and she began her career in pediatrics followed by 10 years at an outpatient hospital-based clinic and sports performance center.
Kristen enjoys working with all ages, both children and adults, providing a patient centered manual and exercise-based approach to each session. She has continued her professional growth through continuing education courses including increased time on visual and vestibular rehabilitation for both adults and pediatrics with diagnoses including vertigo and post-concussion.
Kristen resides in Cornish and enjoys spending time with her husband, Will, and two children, Kinsley and Carter. She is also active in the community volunteering to coach youth sports.
Joshua Glidden, PT, DPT
Josh grew up in Central Maine and attended Husson University. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2012 and then moved to Cape Cod, working at Spaulding Rehabilitation before finding his way back to Maine.
Josh enjoys working closely with his patients to create individualized treatments to help them stay active and healthy. Josh also has experience in working with patients who require adaptive equipment, helping them participate in sports and leisure activities. Additionally, he has taken advanced courses in soft tissue mobilization and myofascial release.
In his free time Josh helps his wife train horses. He enjoys photography, especially taking pictures of nature and of his wife participating in horse jumping. Josh and his wife live on a horse farm with their mini–Australian Shepard Pimba.
Jacklyn Locke, OTR/L
Jackie joined the Foothills Physical Therapy team in 2022 as an orthopedic occupational therapist. She attended the University of Maine, obtaining a BS in kinesiology, then graduated from Husson University in 2020, receiving her Master’s in Occupational Therapy. Jackie focuses on the hand, wrist, arm, shoulder, neck, back and generalized deconditioning, applying remedial and adaptive approaches to address orthopedic injuries and dysfunctions. Her special interest is in working with hand injuries and fabricating custom hand splints/orthoses. Jackie’s treatment goals are to allow you to perform the activities you want, and those you need to do, in your everyday life. In her spare time Jackie teaches ballet and enjoys spending time with her husband and puppy.
